Located in Hyderabad Sindh, Mukhi house was built by an influential Hindu family which basically belonged to Sindh. The landmark present today as a museum was built around 1947, however, after the partition, most of the family had migrated to India leaving the house unattended. Some members although stayed in the country and used to visit Mukhi house until 1957. In 2008 the Mukhi family had withdrawn from any future claims of the property on the condition that the house has to be converted into a museum and henceforth conserved as a landmark. The museum was inaugurated in 2014.
